Now that Old Man Winter has seemingly decided to make his long awaited exit, I can just hear the moans and creaking of unused grill hoods from around the neighborhood. Me, I grill year round, so the burners on the Vermont Castings are in great shape, and the coal grid on the charcoal grill is still well seasoned. No rust anywhere. The smokers is looking at me saying bring it! But being that a true griller performs his talents in all kinds of weather and won't let an encasement of 2 inches of ice stop them from getting that perfect sear, I'd expect nothing less.
This past winter I worked on a few different recipes as well as refining some of the classics. For starters, we are introducing a Carolina style Vinegar Based sauce. This has been certified by a South Carolina Born native to be some of the best he's had. Next we have a newer BBQ sauce that has a kiss of Apple flavoring. Although not quite as kicking as the original, this sauce still conforms to the Papa Bear's Sweet 'n Heat philosophy. Yum. These and all of our other taste bud blasting BBQ originals are in our catalog section of this site. Lastly, we will be updating the recipe section with some family favorites and some have been floating in from various sources.
